Thank you so much for the lovely, detailed comment. I greatly appreciate it! I'm very glad you liked the characterization in the story. I found the change in Sozin and his feelings towards Roku over the years to be one of the most interesting aspects of "The Avatar & The Fire Lord": the fact that this man who committed so many atrocious acts was at one point quite a charming, good-natured person. Young Sozin had his faults, surely, but he was a long way from the man he was to become, and his eventual transformation was both awful and saddening.

I have written a few stories for various Avatar pairings, and it's likely I'll write more about this particular pairing in the future. I tend to post my fan fiction in this journal, but I do crosspost when I'm feeling bold!
