Charity Fan Auction

I signed up for a charity fan writing auction to help benefit victims of the floods in Queensland (thanks to [livejournal.com profile] aphephobia for the heads up). I will write 100 words for each $1AU donated. I reserve the right to write extra as well, but I don't think anyone would complain about that.

If there's something you'd like me to write for you, I will give anything a try! And I mean anything. Ha ha, maybe I shouldn't have said that, but I did.

If you wish to bid on my wares, my thread is here.

Also, if you know me and think I would be willing to write something not listed there, feel free to talk to me about it, because you're probably right. I didn't want to make a long list, but I'm flexible.

Even if you don't wish to bid on a story from me, please consider donating to help. ♥

I've chucked a bid your way, and just wanted to say thankyou for signing up for this.

Oh, thank you so much! I have to say, it would be my pleasure to write more about Kristoph for you.

It's funny, when I read your earlier post today, I was wishing there was a fandom auction, because I don't have a lot of money to donate at the moment. I'm so glad someone organized one.

YAY! :D (btw, did you see my comment to your offer? I'm not picky about word counts, I just love your writing. May you incite a bidding war, m'dear!)

And... I was of the same mindset. At the start of 2009, we had the Black Saturday fires not too far from where I lived, and there was a similar sort of auction deal set up... it was awesome. (I sold some BPAL and won a gay romance novel and a T-shirt and a knitted hat which went to a homeless shelter. It was epic.)

I've never been anywhere near Queensland, but I remember when the fires broke out, Queensland was flooding, and the government were giving them flood recovery money, and some of them were donating it towards the bushfire appeal because "we still have stuff, those people in Victoria have lost everything." So I'm very much "LET'S GET BEHIND THESE PEOPLE" about it.

But yeah, TL;DR? Thankyou once again.

Yes, I saw your bid, thank you so much. :D And where word counts are concerned, I tend to like writing longer things anyway.

I was involved in writing and art auctions for help_haiti on LJ, and it was wonderful. I love when people manage to get things like this together.

And wow, that was great of the Queensland people--yes, people should definitely get behind them now, when they're the ones who need it.

Thankyou, this is so thoughtful of you. I might get involved in the bidding, but I was going to donate either way.

When I saw the news, I really wanted to do something to help. It's so sad. And whether you bid or not, I'm glad you're going to donate as well! ♥
