Oh, thank you so much, I really appreciate your long, lovely, thoughtful comments. They're a pleasure to receive! <3

I do like writing things that bridge the first games and AJ, and since I was playing up the role of Clams, it just made sense to have Apollo meet him at the dog park. (Edgeworth's dog didn't actually make it into the games, but I do love the idea of him having one.) Dogs are so sweet and open, unlike Kristoph (and much more like Apollo)--I just felt like Polly would love that dog!

I'm happy to hear you liked the way the sexual part was handled. I was worried about striking the right balance there, and I didn't want it to seem too jarring. I'm glad you liked the part about the German-speaking, too.

I thought the punching scene would make a good transition point--the punch at the end of that crazy trial seems like such a release of pent up emotion.

I confess, Hobo Phoenix is one of my favorite characters to write, so I'm happy that he comes across well when I write him. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the new hobo Phoenix before playing AJ, but then I found him completely hilarious and adorable, so I love to include him and all his lovable, sarcastic weirdness. <3 I also really enjoyed contrasting him and Kristoph--when writing the end, I felt like I was writing an entirely different story.

It's nice to hear that I could pollute your head canon too, of course. ;) That is always a flattering compliment.

Ha ha, either Fräulein or Herr work, and I enjoy some good alliteration.
