Color fun!

I wanted to try to use the tablet to color extant line art. SO I DID!

Uh, bear in mind that this is my first time attempting such a thing! So I tried to keep it simple. Oh, and also, I didn't want to have to stare at my own line art while practicing, so I naughtily stole other people's sketches. Well, they were sketches that were drawn for me. And I did ask one of the two for permission, so I guess I am not as naughty as I'd like to believe. But I am sorry to have despoiled said sketches with my amateur coloring!

First, a sketch by boredgods (a.k.a. resemble) of Jet and Sokka!






And secondly, a sketch of Jet by alexds1. Hmm, I guess I like Jet.

Ugh, the anatomy is so bad D: Those stupid tiny feet and limp hand... also they eyes look so creepy once the color is on XD No offense to your coloring of course, its just I can't tell how big I draw eyes until its too late.

One thing you might want to try for next time is choosing a light source and basing your shadows off of that, the way you've colored these is illuminating but confusing. The shadow under Jet in my sketch at least suggests back-lighting, but its not so evident on the chest and stuff.. I'm sure I'm over analyzing these like woah but I'm a big fan of totally harsh lighting so I thought I'd spew out some words on the subject.

But don't shut up about suggestions/criticism! Thanks! I don't actually know how to choose a light source; however, I will try to figure it out while making even more thoughtful expressions while I color. Haha, it is sad how ignorant I am.
